An all-new Dark Knight emerges in the post-Convergence DC Universe this June. After the two-month event 24 new titles will join 25 continuing series.

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo will continue their epic Batman run but with major changes a a huge mystery.

The Batman #41 preview teases an all-new Batman making his debut after Endgame and Convergence. As you can see this new Dark Knight is armored up in a new high-tech suit that may even more impressive than Bruce Wayne’s Hellbat.

We knew the future of the Dark Knight’s allies:  Batman and Robin will end but Damian’s story will continue in Robin: Son of Batman by Patrick Gleason and We Are Robin features a cast of Gotham teens in a new book by Lee Bermejo.

Scott Snyder wouldn’t reveal the identity or story arc title but did tell fans some facts about what to expect including the first foe the new Batman faces:

“It’s a new villain. It’s a brand new villain. I don’t want to do anything with any rogues anymore because for a while. In Endgame, it really brings the mythology of Batman, as you know it, and spins it around. A lot of the characters you want to see or maybe don’t want to see or you don’t expect to see, you’ll wind up seeing in Endgame in a certain way. In that respect, I want to put those characters aside and let other people use them and try to create new things for myself. So new villain,” Snyder told ComicVine.

“There’ll be a big crossover with the other cast, though. It’s going to be a really diverse cast in BATMAN. The characters from WE ARE ROBIN play a big part. Duke Thomas plays a very very big part in the story. Harper is in it in a big way. She becomes really prominent. Julia’s in it in a big way. It’s a really fun cast. It’s a vibrant, different cast. I hope you guys will stay with us for this one. My feeling is, you’ve been rewarding books, and our book, for trying things that are close to us but also risky. This one is easily the riskiest we’ve done. I hope you guys like it as much as we do because we’re really excited about it.”

Duke Thomas debuted in Zero Year, Harper Row took on the Bluebird identity in Batman Eternal. Those are just two candidates in our ongoing stories about a possible new Robin.

As for Julia Pennyworth’s role? The former spy has proven to be a formidable assistant in the Batcave and operative on the street. Could it be Julia under the cowl?

Who do you think the new Batman is?
