Faith #1 This Harbinger Renegade becomes a new super hero soaring over the City of Angels but is she ready for an alien armada all on her own? The fan-favorite Valiant heroine stars in own limited series by Jody Houser and Francis Portela.

Old Man Logan #1 In a future in which the villains won, this Wolverine was tricked into killing his fellow X-Men and saw his family slaughtered by Hulks. NORTHWEST PRESS CREATORS and COMICS in SUPERQUEEROES

The power of gay and lesbian creators and comic characters from a Seattle-based publisher are making an impact in a new way on the other side of the world.

Books and artists from Northwest Press are part of a new queer comics exhibition that just opened at the Schwules Museum in Berlin, Germany called SuperQueeroes.

Justin Hall (No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics) is one of the curators of the exhibit featuring several Northwest Press titles and GLBT heroes from mainstream comics like Northstar of the X-Men.

Captain Marvel #1 Carol Danvers leads Alpha Flight?! The fan-favorite Avenger is the new head of S.W.O.R.D. with her own team and satellite headquarters. Danvers is Earth’s first of defense against alien threats in a new series by the team behind Marvel’s Agent Carter and Uncanny X-Men artist Kris Anka.

Poison Ivy: The Cycle of Life and Death #1 The Batman femme fatale in her own limited series. Dr. Isley gets a new start but when a fellow scientist is killed, all evidence points to Ivy. AGENT CARTER Team Launches CAPTAIN MARVEL

A big week for two of Marvel’s most beloved female heroes and the two women behind those characters.

Writers Tara Butters and Michelle Fazekas celebrate the start of the second season of Agent Carter and the launch of a new volume of Captain Marvel. They recruited the women behind the acclaimed Agent Carter television series.

Butters and Fazekas take over the new adventures of Carol Danvers after the departure of Kelly Sue DeConnick who transformation Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel, inspiring the Carol Corps fan movement.

MARVEL Teases DEAD NO MORE

“Dead No More” is the proclamation on Marvel’s Twitter feed today.

What could it mean?

Someone or something is dead no more according to this Marvel teaser.

This comes after the revelation that a major character will die in Civil War II and the day before Secret Wars #9 arrives tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s finale is the final battle with Doctor Doom on Battleworld that leads to the current All-New, All-Different Marvel Now reality set eight months after the conclusion. In Jonathan Hickman’s final chapter, Reed Richards, Namor and Black Panther are leading the fight against “God” Doom who created Battleworld in the remnants of Marvel’s dead multiverse.

In Civil War II by Brian Michael Bendis, Iron Man and Captain Marvel will lead opposite sides over a new character who can see crimes before they happen and how heroes should use this ability. A New York Daily News reporter got an exclusive look at the process at how editors and writers decided who to kill during one of the publisher’s famously secret creative editorial retreats. RUSSOS Reveal How Many Characters in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Avengers: The Infinity War Parts I & II is the grand finale of the Marvel Universe movies with heroes united against Thanos. This is the big one that’s been building on the mythology of the Infinity stones and the Gauntlet that the cosmic villain has been searching for in the films.
