Two founding fathers of Marvel’s Ultimate line reunite for its final story.
Marvel revealed Ultimate Spider-Man original team Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley will deliver Ultimate End – a five-part limited series tied to Secret Wars.
Bendis and Bagley were part of the team that launched the Ultimate Universe in 2000 with modern takes on iconic characters and where dead meant dead and Nick Fury was Samuel L. Jackson and a new hero named Miles Morales would become a new Spider-Man.
Months before Secret Wars was announced and The End of the Ultimate Universe was first teased we pondered if some of the Ultimate heroes will survive and move into the Marvel 616 universe? Time for an update!
Marvel revealed both the Marvel and Ultimate Universes will be destroyed and the new Marvel Universe is Battleworld….but what happens after that?
Miles Morales
Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #12 is teased as being The End. but we still believe he’s gonna make it out alive. The second Ultimate Spider-Man inspired headlines because of his ethnicity but Miles is a great creation who shares the heroic spirit of the late Peter Parker. Morales is currently guest starring in All-New X-Men as Jean Grey is trapped in his world. Miles and the 616 Peter Parker met in Spider-Men. The popularity of Spider-Verse proves fans will love multiple Spider-heroes.
We’re hoping Miles swings into whatever the new Marvel reality will be. Imagine Miles teaming up with Kamala Khan. Maybe Miles and the new Ms. Marvel could form a new Young Avengers!

Jimmy Hudson
The son of the late Ultimate Wolverine. Jimmy was raised by James and Heather Hudson until his mutant powers kicked in then Kitty Pryde revealed the truth about his famous father.
Jimmy has a healing factor and claws but his are coated with an organic metal similar to Colossus.
After the Death of Wolverine, Jimmy could escape into our world to discover Logan’s Legacy, learn more about his family: X-23 and Daken.
An even wilder possibility? Instead of joining the X-Men what if Jimmy this world’s James and Heather Hudson and be part of a new Alpha Flight – finally led by a Wolverine!
Kitty Pryde
This Ultimate Shadowcat aka Shroud aka Kitty Pryde is an ultimate survivor.
This Kitty Pryde left Xavier’s school and fell in love with Peter Parker in a tortured teen triangle.
When Ultimatum made mutants public enemy number one, Kitty assumed a new identity. As the Shroud, she developed new twists on her powers and led underground resistance group.
Kitty later joined Miles Morales to form a new team of Ultimates. This is a harder edged Kitty. More of a strike force leader than a teacher.
This could be a Shadowcat counterpart who challenges the X-Men and makes Kitty think about her role in the mutants.
