Kal-El and Bruce Wayne are haunted and defined by the tragedy surrounding their parents. That’s why Jae Lee’s pencils are perfect for this tale of the golden boy of Metropolis in the dark scary underworld of Gotham City.

Greg Pak reveals the first meeting of Bruce and Clark in The New 52 in Batman/Superman #1 this week. Pak really captures the essence of who these heroes are, how they clash and how they will connect in a fast-paced first issue that sets up the mystery drawing these heroes together.

Murders in Metropolis lead Clark to Gotham City where he and Bruce meet in the civilian identities in great scenes that established just how different their approach is to fighting for justice. When a certain Batman rogue enters the conflict that’s when the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight clash in a battle of strategy and counter-strategy. The shocking cliffhanger hints at who could be behind the crimes with a mind game that goes straight for Superman’s heart. DC fans will enjoy the mystery and how Pak captures the essence of these heroes in Batman/Superman #1.
