BEN AFFLECK & GEOFF JOHNS For BATMAN Film?

Looks like future Dark Knight will cast a huge, long shadow across the DC Comics Movie Universe.

Ben Affleck is in talks to star, write and direct a solo Batman film and DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will co-write according to Deadline.

Will Damian Wayne rise again?

Batman and Robin writer Peter J. Tomasi tweeted this cover to issue 38 by artist Patrick Gleason.

(The cover is a SPOILER so we have it later down in the post in case you don’t want to see.)

Robin Rises is the story of the Dark Knight trying to recover and resurrect his son’s body.

Tomasi’s earlier tweets promise a “big reveal” in issue 37.

Damian’s body was taken by Glorious Godfrey. Bruce (in his Hellbat uniform) and allies (Dick Grayson, Batgirl, Red Hood) pursued into Apokolips and it looks like the Dark Knight will use dark magic and science of Darkseid’s realm to bring his child back to life. SCOTT SNYDER Teases “Bombastic” Story After BATMAN ZERO YEAR

The Zero Year finale is coming this month. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s  origin story the Dark Knight in The New 52 wraps up in Batman #33. The Riddler defeated the Dark Knight and turned Gotham City into a nightmare city under his control. After taking on the Joker in Death of the Family and the Ridder, Snyder was asked about what more he could unleash on Bruce and the battle-worn city he fights to protect.
