A big announcement at Marvel’s Ultimate Universe SDCC panel!
Cataclysm: The Ultimates Last Stand hits this November. The event reunites Ultimate Spider-Man team Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Badley.
Cataclysm looks to be a major showdown between the Ultimate heroes and Galactus. The world-devouring alien was pulled into the Ultimate Universe in the Age of Ultron finale. The war with Galactus begins next week in Hunger #1 by Josh Fialkov.
Miles Morales returns as Spider-Man and will be front and center of the cosmic conflict to the cheers of fans at the panel.
“Spider-Man finally sees what his power and responsibility are, and once again puts on the uniform,” said Brian Michael Bendis.
“Spider-Man now isn’t the only young super hero. There are a bunch of them…you’re going to see a bunch of new heroes.” he added.
“It stars everyone, including Miles Morales, who has the biggest storyline from his arc that we’re done so far,” said Bendis of the cast.
In this story the Ultimate heroes will learn there is a Marvel Universe and they can send Galactus back!
The Ultimates Last Stand may end with Galactus but the Ultimates Disassembled arc begins with Hulk!
“I’ve been really encouraged to tell the story I want to tell, and everybody goes crazy!” said Ultimates writer Joshua Hale Fialkov.
Hunger #1 arrives next week.
