Super Producer Greg Berlanti hit the mark with Arrow, is launching The Flash and now has his eye on a new DC comics hero.
Supergirl!
Berlanti is working with Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family) on a potential Supergirl television series according to Deadline.
Today the producer said “yeah, we’re just starting to work on it. We haven’t gone to the networks yet, so. I’ll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment,” in a Comic Book Resources interview.
The most enduring version of the heroine is Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin who rocketed to Earth and became the world’s most powerful teen. Helen Slater played Kara in a Supergirl movie in 1984. Laura Vandervoort played Kara on Smallville.
