Who says you can’t go home again? Especially when you have a demon sorceress teleporter on your team? Cyclops, Magik, Magneto and Emma Frost visit the Jean Grey School in Uncanny X-Men #4. Marvel shared a sneak peek of the reunion with art by Chris Bachalo.
Director Bryan Singer revealed Daniel Cudmore will return as Colossus in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The director also revealed Boo Boo Stewart and Fan BingBing have joined the cast via Twitter.
Cudmore played the X-Man who can transform his body into organic steel in X2: X-Men United and X3: The Last Stand. Cudmore played a role in The Twilight Saga. In the classic comic book storyline the film is based on Colossus married Kitty Pryde. In the films Kitty was part of a romantic triangle with Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) and Rogue (Anna Paquin.)
It was revealed earlier that BingBing will play Blink. No word on which character Stewart will play but when I saw his picture my brain jumped to (young Nightcrawler, the original Thunderbird- John Proudstar, or his brother Warparth – James Proudstar)
The director’s Tweet showed the cast list and mentioned the awards among the cast and ended with “now let’s blow —- up!”
Looks like we’ll see a famous Colossus/Wolverine fastball special in the next film!
Director Bryan Singer revealed a new character and casting addition for X-Men: Days of Future Past via Twitter. Fan BingBing will play Blink according to Deadline.
Blink is a teleporter created in Uncanny X-Men #317 and just when you thought Clarice Ferguson would go on to be part of Generation X but she died in the Phalanx Covenant storyline.
The gang’s almost all here for X-Men: Days of Future Past! The cast of the original trilogy and X-Men: First Class will unite for the new film based on the classic Chris Claremont comic book story involving time travel.
The revolution continues in this week’s Uncanny X-Men #3 as Cyclops attempts to recruit more new mutants while a traitor works against him. Take a look at new art from Chris Bachalo courtesy Marvel. Bachalo co-created some of the Generation X kids, the darker X-Men of the Age of Apocalypse, the “rogue” squad of X-Men led by Rogue during Mike Carey’s run and helped launch Wolverine and the X-Men with Jason Aaron. Bachalo’s creative synergy with the Children of the Atom continues with this new series.
Oscar winner Halle Berry will reprise her role as weather manipulating mutant Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past. This was first reported by Deadline and then confirmed by director Bryan Singer via Twitter.
After years of what might call being the class clown Bobby Drake is really getting respect but is it going to his head? Just look at Phil Noto’s cover for June’s Astonishing X-Men #63 courtesy Marvel.
Bobby has always been an omega level mutant but he just learned to push the boundaries of his ice powers. And let’s talk about Bobby’s love life. While Iceman and Kitty Pryde shared a kiss and date in Jason Aaron’s Wolverine and the X-Men Bobby received attention from Warbird in Marjorie Liu’s Astonishing X-Men. (And how cool is it that Iceman is in multiple books! Bobby will never beat Logan’s record!)
Director Bryan Singer revealed via Twitter that The Intouchables star Omar Sy has joined the cast of X-Men: Day of Future Past.
No word on Sy’s role and I’m scratching my head about which character Sy could portray! (Nimrod the Super Sentinel?)
The French actor and Peter Dinklage (who plays the villain) are the new actors joining the X-Men family. Casts of the first trilogy and X-Men: First Class will star in the film based on the classic story by Chris Claremont. (I met him this weekend at Emerald City Comicon!)
