The milestone Uncanny X-Men #600 marks the end of an era by Brian Michael Bendis. This week the fan favorite writer’s final issue wraps up his run on Uncanny X-Men and All-New X-Men.

From Cyclops and his Revolution vs. S.H.I.E.L.D. to Battle of the Atom to The Black Vortex we saw plenty of action and intrigue with classic and new enemies.

What about the surprising team bonding, romantic twists and personal moments that show why the X-Men are a family….dysfunctional but a family.

Here are some of our favorite moments of the Bendis X-Men run: Continue reading X-MEN BEST OF BENDIS

WORST X-MEN EVER?

We try to keep things positive here but with the announcement of X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever we couldn’t resist to look back at some of the maybe not to popular mutants who made the team…even for a brief membership.

The new X-book by Max Bemis and Michael Walsh will star a new mutant. We don’t know his powers or back story or why he deserves this ominous title but it does make one think: Who are the worst X-Men?

Let’s face it, after decades and dozens of characters, it’s hard for writers and artists to create a new mutant that will take off. We’ve often said, for every Gambit and Rogue….there’s a Maggott and Marrow.

Yet there’s a fan who may love these odd (even for mutants) heroes and want them back.

For your consideration, here are candidates for Worst X-Man ever: Continue reading WORST X-MEN EVER?

Marvel and Fox are teaming up on two television series set in the X-Men universe and they’re bringing on the bad guys.

Hellfire is the working title for a series set in the 1960’s and featuring an evil inner circle of rich and powerful mutants, the Hellfire Club.

X-Men producing team Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler-Donner and Simon Kinberg will work with Marvel Television Head Jeph Loeb on Hellfire and Legion, the son of Professor X.

What is the Hellfire Club? These were actual exclusive high society clubs in 18th century England where rich rakes indulged in decadent parties and schemed to gain more power and wealth. Continue reading HELLFIRE CLUB for X-MEN TV
