Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is back in blue on the set of X-Men Days of Future Past. Director Bryan Singer shared this first look of the actress in makeup as Mystique via Twitter.
In X-Men: First Class Raven was a childhood friend of Charles Xavier who flirted with Beast (Nicholas Hoult) but eventually fell in love with Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and joined his Brotherhood of Mutants.
In the classic comic book storyline that’s the inspiration for the upcoming sequel – Mystique is leader of the Brotherhood plotting to assassinate a Senator. The killing will lead to a dark future for mutants in which they are hunted and imprisoned by Sentinels. X-Men from the future go back in time to prevent the attack.
The sequel is scheduled for July 2014.
