Monsters are coming to Gotham City. The Batman family will unite to stop them.

Batman #1 arrived this week kicking off a new era with a new creative team for the Dark Knight. DC Comics announced the first crossover event of the DC Rebirth era coming this fall.

Bruce Wayne is back as the Dark Knight with Duke Thomas (new costume, no code name yet) as his partner in fighting crime. Dick Grayson returns to his Nightwing code name and costume. Batman and Batwoman are co-leading Detective Comics.

“Night of the Monster Men” will spans the BATMAN, NIGHTWING and DETECTIVE COMICS issues on sale late September and early October, pitting the heroes of Gotham against a mystery-shrouded foe from the Dark Knight’s past!

Parts Four through Six of “NIGHT OF THE MONSTER MEN” concludes the storyline in the pages of BATMAN #8, NIGHTWING #6 and DETECTIVE COMICS #942, which will be solicited next month.

Fans may recall an early crossover of The New 52 era was Night of the Owls in the Batman family of books. Could the Monster Men be the Court of Owls and Talons of the Rebirth era?
