Clark Gregg manages to fight evil Hydra agents and super villains on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and write and direct his own film.

The Seattle International Film Festival just revealed a surprise addition to the 2014 lineup.  SIFF favorite Clark Gregg will return to Seattle with Trust Me, a “biting satire about life in Hollywood and the struggle to keep dreams of greatness alive.”

Gregg plays Agent Phil Coulson on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and in The Avengers and is a frequent collaborator with Joss Whedon. Gregg brought his directorial debut, Choke, to SIFF 2008 after winning the Special Jury Prize for Ensemble Cast at the Sundance Film Festival.

Gregg graced the SIFF red carpet on Opening Night in 2013 with the cast of Much Ado About Nothing, in which he portrayed Leonato, the uncle of Beatrice, and participated in a lively post-screening panel discussion with director Joss Whedon and fellow cast members Alexis Denisov, Amy Acker, and Nathan Fillion.

“I jumped at the chance to return to Seattle with Trust Me,” says Gregg. “I was shown such a warm welcome as part of the Much Ado crew in 2013; Seattle really is a special place with a vibrant and inquisitive film-loving community.”

Trust Me stars Gregg with an impressive ensemble, including Felicity Huffman (Transamerica, “Desperate Housewives”); Allison Janney (Juno, American Beauty, Drop Dead Gorgeous); William H. Macy (The Sessions, Pleasantville, Fargo); Amanda Peet (2012, Identity, The Whole Nine Yards); Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2, Moon, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy); and Molly Shannon (“Glee,” “Saturday Night Live”).  Trust Me will appear in select theaters June 6th, and is available now on demand & iTunes.
