Fans swooned at the image of the Phoenix in X2 but Bryan Singer left the franchise before exploring the Phoenix Saga in The Last Stand. The emergence of the Phoenix in Jean and her fate came on another director’s watch.

In Days of Future Past Singer helmed the film that rewrote history and gave Jean Grey and Scott Summers (Famke Janssen, James Marsden) a happier ending.

DC Comics Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee tweeted the image of a blue curtain and #Rebirth stirring a universe of speculation.

Rebirth is a familiar theme in the return of fan-favorites. Flash: Rebirth and Green Lantern: Rebirth were both by now DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.

DC Entertainment delivers “Girl Power” for this year’s Free Comic Book Day.

Saturday, May 7 is Free Comic Book Day. DC revealed two of its titles for fans on this annual celebration.

Ahead of the big screen debut of Suicide Squad writer Adam Glass and artist Marco Rudy “introduce you to the villains that take on the dirtiest jobs in the DC universe” with a special edition issue of Suicide Squad #1, the first chapter of the iconic graphic novel SUICIDE SQUAD VOL. 1: KICKED IN THE TEETH.

When The New 52 began Nightwing learned he was meant to be a Talon for the Court of Owls.

Dick later”died” in Forever Evil at the hands of Lex Luthor.

The former Robin faked his death, ditched the Nightwing mask/code-name to become an undercover double agent investigating Spyral in his new series Grayson.

Now Dick has an ominous new role in the fallout of Robin War.
