Kurt Wagner returned from the dead in Amazing X-Men. Now he’s racing to save people he loves in a brand new solo series by legendary writer Chris Claremont and artist Todd Nauck.

In the first issue the swashbuckling, romantic Fuzzy Elf shared a reunion with magical girlfriend Amanda Sefton when an armored enemy broke up the happy couple.

It’s classic X-characters vs. new threats as Nightcrawler fights to save the ones he cares about. Don’t worry the BAMFs are in this new book, too.

Marvel shared a first look inside Nightcrawler #2 by Nauck along with some amazing variant covers by Jamie McKelvie and Tim Sale. Continue reading NIGHTCRAWLER #2 Preview

Ellen Page introduced an exciting clip from X-Men: Days of Future Past at the MTV Movie Awards.

In the future mutant hunting robots attack. Kitty Pryde (Page) Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) lead brand new mutants Blink, Warpath, Bishop and Sunspot defending their embattled base from a swarm of Sentinels. Fans of Bobby Drake have to be thrilled to see Iceman at his full omega level potential. Blink is a fan favorite mutant from the Generation X era who died too soon but is alive and shows off her incredible teleporting power. Sunspot (Adan Canto) and Bishop (Omar Sy) share their solar projection and energy absorption powers on the invading Sentinels.

The mix of real and mutant history continues in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In X-Men: First Class the emergence of mutants in the 1960’s was tied to the Cuban Missile Crisis and Cold War between the U.S. and U.S.S.R.

On the The Bent Bullet (a viral marketing site for DOFP) it was implied that Magneto was behind the assassination of President F. Kennedy. It’s been reported that Magneto is on prison accused of killing JFK and Wolverine, Professor X and Quicksilver will stage a jail break.

Now Fox unveils 25Moments.com which implies how the fight for mutant rights has tied into world history Continue reading X-MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Reveals 25 Moments

Pacific Northwest cosplayers help make Emerald City Comicon such a geek-tacular experience.

The Seattle celebration always marks a reunion with new friends you see online and in person (often in costume) at the con. As big at ECCC is growing you can still run into your favorite cosplayers, collectors and fellow fans.

I met Ryan and Lauren a few years ago at the Jet City Comic Book Show (also produced by the team behind ECCC) dressed as my favorite Marvel couple: Kitty Pryde and Colossus. Continue reading X-MEN COSPLAYERS of EMERALD CITY COMICON

The mutant who (for me) representing the heart and soul of the X-Men is back.

The legendary Claremont returns to share Kurt’s new adventures in Nightcrawler #1 arriving this week. Artist Todd Nauck explains his excitement for working with the writer. Continue reading Art of NIGHTCRAWLER
