Superman villain Lex Luthor stole the show and let the speculation begin.

Ahead of the big DC Comics Rebirth announcement Saturday, DC Entertainment shared behind the scenes insight, new covers and a team of top creators at the first WonderCon panel (DC All Access).

Moderator and DC All Access co-host Jason Inman introduced creators including Vertigo Executive Editor Shelly Bond, writer J.T. Krul, artists Ming Doyle, Jason Fabok, Mitch Gerads, and Annie Wu, and LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya.

Fabok (Justice League, Wonder Woman, Batman Eternal) gave fans preview of Justice League #49, #50 which teased a new status quo and uniform for villain Lex Luthor.

This issues will conclude Darkseid War by Geoff Johns and Fabok. Luthor became a member of Justice League following the events of Forever Evil. During the current arc, Luthor became ruler of Apokolips following Darkseid’s death.

DC Rebirth revealed.

Let the speculation begin…again.

DC Comics revealed the new lineup of comics starting with a huge DC Comics Rebirth one-shot by Geoff Johns arriving in May.

Aside from the creative lineups for the new number ones (except for Action and Detective which go back to original numbering) the announcement sparks a ton of questions about the fate of certain characters and hints at a change in status quo.

DiDio Teases “Most Controversial Scene” in DC REBIRTH

Prepare for shock and awe DC Comics readers.

The “most controversial scene” in co-publisher Dan DiDio’s DC tenure is coming in the upcoming Rebirth.

DC Comics revealed Rebirth will feature all-new number one issues, some double-shipping, lower prices and a focus on the main heroes in the spirit of Green Lantern: Rebirth, The Flash: Rebirth.

DC REBIRTH REVEALED

No more teasing.

Rebirth revealed.

DC Comics revealed the complete comics lineup for Rebirth starting in May. In a video message, Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns again said this is “not a reboot.”

The Birds of Prey soar again, Super Sons, Trinity, Titans and a status quo for the original Robin are revealed in the new lineup.

It all begins with DC Rebirth, an 80-page one-shot by Johns with artists Ethan Van Sciver, Ivan Reis, Gary Frank and Phil Jimenez on May 25th. The main DC Universe titles will start with new number ones except for Action Comics and Detective Comics – which will go back to original numbering. Continue reading DC REBIRTH REVEALED

Two new teasers for DC’s Rebirth stir the speculation about the publisher’s plan for the home of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and more icons.

Co-publisher Jim Lee tweeted:

IT’S NOT A REBOOT…

Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns followed with:

IT’S NOT A REBOOT…

AND IT NEVER WAS.

Both teasers were displayed under “REBIRTH” and the blue curtain or is it a cape?

One word has great power and we’re not talking about “Shazam!”

DC Comics Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee tweeted the image of a blue curtain and #Rebirth stirring a universe of speculation.

Rebirth is a familiar theme in the return of fan-favorites. Flash: Rebirth and Green Lantern: Rebirth were both by now DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.
