Robin War broke out in Gotham City this week. This one-shot by Tom King kicked off a crossover that saw the return of the Court of Owls and a return to a famous role and code-name for Dick Grayson?
The streets of Gotham are filled with an army of teen vigilantes all calling themselves Robin but the past and current Robins (Jason Todd, Damian Wayne, Tim Drake and Grayson) are back in town.
The original Robin, Dick Grayson became Nightwing and most recently faked his death, gave up his masks and code-names to become an undercover agent in Spyral in his new series Grayson.

SPOILER ALERT!
If you have not read Robin War #1 stop reading now.
Seriously.
OK.
Here it comes.
Dick Grayson, Agent 37 of Spyral, is on a mission when he gets a call to come back to Gotham. As Dick exits the mission he tells his handler “first and always foremost…I AM ROBIN.”
Grayson’s other famous code-name is name dropped by bad guys of the crossover. The Court of Owls are secretly orchestrating Gotham City’s crackdown on the Robins and want the “Gray Son” back.
Upon learning of Grayson’s return an Owl declares, “soon, the NIGHTWING will rise again” while looking at the mask Dick wore.
Robin War could be seen as a sequel to Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s first Batman epic. During the Night of the Owls, Dick learned he had been chosen to be a Talon for the Court of Owls. Haly’s Circus where the Flying Graysons performed was secretly a training ground for the Court’s enforcers – Talons.
This week’s kickoff issue is written by Tom King, co-writer of Grayson. Could Robin War lead to Dick returning to the fan-favorite code-name and costume he hasn’t word in a few years?
Robin War continues in Grayson #15 next week then into Detective Comics #47, We Are Robin #7, Robin Son of Batman #7 with tie-ins to Gotham Academy #13, Red Hood/Arsenal #7, Teen Titans #15.
Do you want Dick to become Nightwing again or continue his super spy role in the DC Universe?
