Michael Rooker at Fan Expo Vancouver!

Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon of The Walking Dead) will join the cast of celebrities at Fan Expo Vancouver. Rooker has appeared in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Slither and video games like and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Rooker will be on hand to meet Vancouver fans on both Saturday and Sunday.

Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead) has had to cancel his appearance due to a conflict with the premiere of a new film at Tribeca Film Fest but he thanks his ‘big brother Merle’ for stepping in.

Fan Expo Vancouver is April 20-21, 2013. Rooker joins the stellar roster of stars including Stan Lee, Nichelle Nichols, Sean Astin, Michael Hogan and cast members of Continuum.

Did director Bryan Singer reveal a first look at Beast from X-Men: Days of Future Past via Twitter? The director’s feed has been THE source for casting announcements and photos from the set.

Harbinger Wars Flashback Sneak Peek

Harbinger Wars kicked off this week – the first crossover ! Here’s a first look at the next chapter in Harbinger #11. This is the first issue of a new, standalone story arc launching rivals Peter Stanchek and Toyo Harada into the center of the Harbinger Wars, by writer Joshua Dysart and fan favorite artists Khari Evans and Trevor Hairsine.

In next week’s chapter:

“Go back to 1969 to witness the first clash of Toyo Harada and Rising Spirit Securities and the origin of their ever-escalating game of corporate warfare and superhuman subterfuge. First Look: THE MOVEMENT

Gail Simone (Batgirl) and Freddie Williams III want you to join The Movement! DC Comics shared a first look at art from next month’s new politically charged comic book.

Simone teased the roster of the book including a new character she introduced in The New 52 Batgirl run.

“It’s mostly new characters, but a couple might have subtle ties to the DCU at large,” Simone told Comic Book Resources. “I am absolutely in love with the core cast, I think they’re fresh and thrilling and unlike the characters in any other comic. That said, sharp-eyed readers have already spotted two familiar characters; Katharsis, the brutal avenger from the popular Knightfall arc in BATGIRL, and Tremor, a wonderful badass character who appeared in the pre-[New] 52 SECRET SIX. It’s a cast of favorites for me; I haven’t had this much fun with a cast since the Secret Six!”

The Movement begins May 1. The Green Team is DC’s other politically-themed book coming soon.

Zatanna Joins Justice League

Think Justice League needs a touch of magic? DC’s iconic super hero team welcomes Zatanna! Writer Geoff Johns revealed the magician’s new costume designed by Ivan Reis via Twitter.

Potential new members were introduced in Justice League #18. Johns confirms Zatanna will join in issue 22.

Big Changes for Superior Spider-Man!

Turning Doctor Octopus into the new Spider-Man was big! Dan Slott is revealing his bigger plans for the Superior Spider-Man. Issue 7 and 8 are the set up for everything happening this summer. Marvel teased “Spectacular Spider-Man No More” for issue 9. Slott shares what’s ahead as he builds up to July Spider-Man month with Marvel.com.

“Right now we are having a two-parter that involves Cardiac and the Avengers, after a couple things that Spidey has done have gone public.
