Arrow Executive Producer/Writer Marc Guggenheim will take over the all-female X-Men book with issue 18 according to IGN.

 

Guggenheim will pick up where Brian Wood left off. No word on a new artist yet or Wood’s next project after an acclaimed run with the all-female X-team.

Two acclaimed X-Men creators unite for a brand new epic starring the Children of the Atom.

 

Writer Mike Carey teams up with artist Salvador Larroca for X-Men: No More Humans, an original graphic novel out this week.

 

Carey joined the X-Men writing team after the Decimation, when Scarlet Witch utter the words, “No More Mutants” sending homo superior on the road to extinction.

 

The X-Men prevailed but now face a similar moral dilemma in this original story following the events of Battle of the Atom.

At C2E2 Marvel revealed The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier will be revealed as part of this summer’s Original Sin event. The Watcher’s murder will expose long hidden secrets rocking every corner and team of the Marvel Universe.

 

The schism between the X-Men pushed the Children of the Atom apart after the Professor’s murder at the hands of a Phoenix-possessed Cyclops in Avengers vs. X-Men. Now Xavier’s last will and testament will test his students even more. The story will appear in Uncanny X-Men #23 and #24 by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Chris Bachalo and Kris Anka. Anna Paquin reprised her role as Rogue in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Then came rumors the fan-favorite mutant was cut from the film and now she may have a cameo.

 

Producer Simon Kinberg took questions at WonderCon this past weekend about the upcoming film. Kinberg tells CraveOnline about the Rogue storyline that might have been:

Fans were upset with news Anna Paquin had been cut from X-Men: Days of Future Past. According to Vulture – Paquin (as Rogue) was never completely cut from the sequel and it pivotal to a major moment in the plot of the time travel story.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is coming fast on the horizon. X-Men: Apocalypse is slated for 2016. The Wolverine sequel is clawing into theaters after that. Producers have started talking the possibilities of more X-Men solo spinoff  movies including Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

 

The fuel to a Gambit movie fire are lit up again after the MTV Movie Awards. Channing Tatum told MTV he’s met with Producer Lauren Schuler Donner and again expressed his love for Remy Labeau, the mutant played by Taylor Kitsch in X-Men: Origins: Wolverine.
