MARVEL STAR WARS Comics, May the Variants Be With You

Star Wars returns to Marvel Comics in 2015.

 

Writer Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) and John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) will continue the adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the Rebel Alliance in a brand new Star Wars #1 this January.

 

The Force is with fans as Marvel recruits an all-star roster of artists to create variant covers for the first issue including Alex Ross, Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada and of course Skottie Young in his signature style. ARROW Adds VINNIE JONES as BRICK

Producers of Arrow recruit Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch) to play a classic DC Comics tough guy opposite the vigilante archer.

Jones will play Brick on The CW series according to Variety. Jones will appear in episodes 10, 11 and 12 of the current third season.

 

In comics Danny “Brick” Brickwell is a ruthless gang leader with tough, invulnerable reddish skin.

No official word on how Brick may be working with this season’s main villain Ra’s Al Ghul.

 

Jones played the Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand and guest starred on Chuck and played the villain on The Cape.

Jones is starring in the ABC mid-season series Galavant.

UNCANNY AVENGERS After AXIS

Marvel reveals the next almost all-new, all-different lineup for Uncanny Avengers.

The book launched in the aftermath of Avengers vs. X-Men with Captain America and Wolverine forming a Unity squad including Thor, Havok, Rogue and Scarlet Witch. Wasp, Wonder Man and Sunfire later joined the roster.

Now we know a very different team lineup will form in the aftermath of AXIS.

Veterans Rogue and Scarlet Witch will be joined by Sam Wilson (the new Captain America) Vision, Brother Voodoo, Quicksilver, Vision and Sabretooth as reported by ComicBook.com.

FUTURE of FANTASIC FOUR After Cancellation

Marvel confirmed the rumors about their Fantastic Four series at New York Comic Con.

Current writer James Robinson said the Fantastic Four are “going away for a while” and he’s “building up to the end of the Fantastic Four.”

Marvel is cancelling the latest volume of the book starring their First Family.

The End of FourEver will be the final arc ending with issue 645 – a return to the original numbering.
