In today’s Marvel October solicits it’s confirmed Kitty Pryde is a member of the relaunched Guardians of the Galaxy.

One of most surprising X-Men missing from the list of All-New, All-Different Marvel Now books after Secret Wars is Kitty Pryde.

Kitty and Peter Quill’s interstellar romance was the heart and soul of The Black Vortex crossover between X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy. Just when the star-crossed lovers were about to reach a bold new chapter in their love story…the end of the universes happened.

Different versions of Kitty Pryde are starring different Secret Wars tie-in books this summer but the fan-favorite mutant half of #StarKat is MIA from this fall’s new books.

Here are the top 4 we’re most excited for this fall:

Doctor Strange

If there was ever a perfect marriage of character and creators this it. When I saw the announcement: Doctor Strange by Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo, I immediately imagined the new magic Aaron will bring after rocking the Thor mythos and I loved the weird and wonderful Wolverine and the X-Men run by Aaron and Bachalo. MISSING FROM ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT MARVEL NOW?

Marvel revealed 45 new books and creative teams coming this fall in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now relaunch.

All-New, All-Different Avengers, Extraordinary X-Men and Invincible Iron Man, Spider-Man are flagship books. We have two Spider-Men, two Wolverines and a totally new Hulk. Some fan-favorite heroes are on new teams but some iconic characters are MIA!

STAR WARS Reveals BEN KENOBI’S SECRET PAST

Marvel shared a look inside Star Wars #7 by guest artist Simone Bianchi. The hit comic book series by writer Jason Aaron picks up after the events of A New Hope.

Luke Skywalker has gone home to uncover the secrets of his mentor with Darth Vader in pursuit.

ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT MARVEL NOW Books and Teams Revealed

The All-New, All-Different Marvel Now is coming. Picking eight months after the Secret Wars finale, this is the new Marvel that emerges and the publisher revealed the new books and creative teams coming in October.

The biggest news this week was the new X-Men flagship book by Jeff Lemire featuring the return of Wolverine (as in Old Man Logan) who stars in a new ongoing also by Lemire and Peter Parker’s new status quo as Amazing Spider-Man.

One of the biggest mysteries is the conflict between Inhumans and mutants after certain iconic X-Man vanish and Beast switches teams and joins Medusa’s Uncanny Inhumans book.

BEAST Joins UNCANNY INHUMANS

Beast is joining the Uncanny Inhumans.

Hank McCoy is the second non-Inhuman to join the cast of the upcoming book. Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four is joining the team and he’s in love with Medusa.

We don’t know the fate of the X-Men or the new creative team until Uncanny X-Men #600 hits after Secret Wars. The milestone and final issue by Brian Michael Bendis is “The Trial of Hank McCoy” in which he may face the repercussions for bringing the X-Men of the past into the present.

Now we know this founding X-Man will survive. Uncanny Inhumans writer Charles Soule says to expect a “cold war” between Inhumans and mutants but “things have gone very wrong somehow” explains the Beast’s role in the new book: Continue reading BEAST Joins UNCANNY INHUMANS
