Big Monsters. Big Robots. Big Sequel Plans?
Pacific Rim is unleashed July 12th. Director Guillermo del Toro is talking sequel plans!
“We’re been talking about the idea for it and working on a pitch,” del Toro tells Deadline. “And there will be a Mexican Jaeger,” he joked about the giant robots that fight alien monsters from the depths of the ocean.
“Having had two to three years pass from the first Pacific Rim to the second movie, we can also prepare a good video game, continue the graphic novel and continue the mythology,” the director added. Co-writer Travis Beacham is writing on a prequel graphic novel.
