Batman vs Deathstroke on the big screen.

Joe Manganiello will play Deathstoke in Ben Affleck’s first solo Batman film.

DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed Deathstroke will take on the Dark Knight in a Wall Street Journal interview.

Ben Affleck recently share test footage of the villain  in costume.

Now we know the man under the mask.

Deathstroke (Slade Wilson) is the deadliest mercenary/assassin in the DC Universe with a long history and ties to the Dark Knight, Teen Titans, Green Arrow and was a member of Suicide Squad.

No word on if the villain will appear in the upcoming Justice League film currently in production or if Deathstroke is the primary or one of several rogues in Affleck’s Batman standalone film.

Manganiello is perhaps best known as werewolf Alcide Herveaux on True Blood and played Peter Parker’s high school nemesis Flash Thompson in the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man films.

Deathstroke is starring in his own solo comic book now by Christopher Priest from DC Comics.
