Jennifer Lawrence will play Mystique one last time in X-Men: Apocalypse.

You read correct. One final turn in blue.

This 2016 showdown with the villainous first mutant will be the final film for Lawrence as the shapeshifter.

“It is my last one, actually,” the actress replied to MTV News when asked about the sequel on the red carpet for Serena.

X-Men: Apocalypse feels like an ending to a trilogy starring younger versions of Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) after First Class and Days of Future Past.

Bryan Singer returns to direct the clash between the Children of the Atom and En Sabah Nur (Oscar Isaac) that will introduce new actors in younger versions of Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey.

There was speculation of a Mystique spinoff but Lawrence seems to be closing the book on Raven Darkholme after X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016.
