INHUMANS VS X-MEN, Whose Side Are You On?

This means war! A genetic war for survival as one species is exploding in numbers while another is on the fast track to extinction.

Inhumans vs. X-Men is coming. Whose side are you on?

The Terrigen Mists that create Inhumans are killing mutants. Tensions have been building between the Inhumans and X-Men since the end of Secret Wars.

But as Marvel warns a “saturation point” is coming and the X-Men decide to wipe out the source before mutants go extinct.

Announced during SDCC, Inhumans vs X-Men is six-part event by writers Jeff Lemire (Extraordinary X-Men) and Charles Soule (Uncanny Inhumans) and artist Leinil Yu.

The upcoming event follows Civil War II: X-Men as Magneto and Storm learn of Ulysses, the new Inhuman with the power to see the future and Death of X, the four part series revealing the fate of Cyclops and what else happened in the eight months after Secret Wars.

Jeff Lemire said Medusa and Storm will be key figures in the conflict but don’t count on the X-Men to have every mutant on their side:

“Like any large group of people, neither the mutants nor the Inhumans act like they have a hive mind. Meaning they are a diverse group, with many points of view and many agendas. So it’s not so black and white. There are not simply two sides to this battle. So, for the mutants, not everyone will agree with the conflict. And there will be factions within even those groups. So we really tried to draw in as many characters as we could, but to give them all a different voice, agenda, and purpose in the story.” Lemire told Marvel.com.

Medusa vs Storm, Magneto vs Black Bolt, Old Man Logan vs Karnak – it’s uncanny to imagine the showdowns.

Soule says to expect the casts of the current X-books and mutants we haven’t seen for a while. Could this mean the return of Emma Frost, Rachel Grey and other mutants missing in action?

Death of X by Lemire, Soule and Aaron Kuder hits in October and November then brace for Inhumans vs X-Men.
