After Secret Wars, an All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe is born.

Now we know who will be starring in this new direction. Marvel confirmed writers Brian Michael Bendis, Jason Aaron, Charles Soule, G. Willow Wilson and Jeff Lemire, Mark Waid and Dan Slott will launch new books.

It’s not just who is seen but how the heroes are shown that should get fans excited and speculating.

X-Man Wolverine is back? Looks like Old Man Logan (currently starring in a Secret Wars tie-in by Bendis) and a female Wolverine are claws up and ready to fight. Is this X-23 or possibly someone new?

Why is Doctor Strange armed with an axe that sure looks like the one the Odinson was carrying when he deemed unworthy and Jane Foster became the new Thor?

Thing is a member of Guardians of the Galaxy? (Johnny Storm was revealed be in Uncanny Inhumans and Medusa’s new lover in the FCBD issue.)

We have a classic Spider-Man and Iron Man while new favorites Jane Foster Thor, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales with two big surprises: Citizen V from the classic Thunderbolts and Red Wolf. This art confirms Sam Wilson will continue to be Captain America with Steve Rogers still as a super senior.

It sure looks like Iron Man is leading the way as the Armored Avenger stars in both preview art posters by David Marquez. Ultimate Spider-Man team Bendis and Marquez will launch a brand new Invincible Iron Man. The fan-favorite writer revealed the first image of the reborn hero by Marquez and Justin Ponsor via Tumblr.

Bendis revealed his approach to Iron Man at Special Edition: New York City:

“He’s getting new armor, a new girlfriend, new villains, a whopper of a last page, and thanks to Kieron Gillen who revealed in his run that Tony Stark is adopted. We’re going to find out who Tony’s biological parents are and I’m gonna tell you right now, they are Thomas and Martha Wayne,” Bendis said via Comic Book Resources.

“The book is gorgeous; over the years, Tom Brevoort and I have talked about doing this and I love Iron Man with all my heart. I thought, what does he need? Tony needs more villains. Tony needs more friends that aren’t Avengers and more things around him. This new armor design has new cool things that it does, including — you know how Tony has 20-30 armors that show up? This one can turn into all of them. This is an armor that can do whatever it needs to do for whatever mission.”

Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso confirmed every series will get a new number one with the rollout of 50-60 books over three to four months on Axel-In-Charge.

Along with a new Wolverine, Alonso told USA Today for readers to watch for “an incredible Hulk like no fan has ever seen before.”

The new books will be set eight months after the conclusion of Secret Wars.
