After the Quest for Nightcrawler a new creative team will take over Amazing X-Men and bring a prodigal son home.
Chris Yost and Craig Kyle (New Mutants/New X-Men, X-Force) are writing the Children of the Atom again with Amazing X-Men #8. Colossus is back!
After possession by Cyttorak in Fear Itself (in which Peter became Juggernaut) then the Phoenix Force in Avengers vs. X-Men, breaking up with Kitty Pryde and betrayal by his sister, the distraught and disillusioned hero left the X-Men but fought with Cable in the now cancelled Cable and X-Force.
“We love the all the classic X-characters and yes! They will absolutely be the core of our team moving forward,” Kyle told Marvel.com of their roster. “That said, we’ve had a chance to work will a lot of the up and coming X-Men and we love them too. It’s too early to discuss specifics as to who will or won’t be on the team I can tell you Chris and I both love Colossus and he’s someone we both feel needs to be on this journey with us.”
Amazing X-Men #8 will arrive in June with Ed McGuinness on art.
