KYLE MacLACHLAN Joins New TWIN PEAKS Series

Start making the cherry pie and fire up the “damn fine and hot” coffee!

Showtime announced Kyle MacLachlan has officially signed on to headline the Twin Peaks revival. The new nine-episode series will start production in 2015 and is scheduled to premiere in 2016 on the 25th anniversary of the original series finale on ABC.

Original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are back to executive produce the follow-up series set 25 years later.

MacLachlan played FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper who came to the Pacific Northwest town of Twin Peaks to solve the murder of Laura Palmer.

Fans of the beloved series will remember Cooper’s dream  in which Laura said, “I’ll see you again in 25 years” and they were together again 25 years in the future.

The Avengers greatest enemy as they’ve never faced him before?

Marvel revealed an ominous teaser with chilling new art for Avengers: Rage of Ultron, an original graphic novel by Rick Remender, Jerome Opena and Dean White.

This time Ultron plots against the Avengers other greatest villain: Thanos!

The evil A.I. targets Saturn’s moon and takes over Titan’s computer core and Planet Ultron is born.

The Force is strong in comic book stores this week!

A long time ago with a publisher that’s very different from what it is now…there were Star Wars comics.

Decades later, Marvel is owned by Disney, Lucasfilm is owned by Disney.

Star Wars Marvel comics are here. The homecoming and three new comic books were announced at San Diego Comic Con last year.

Star Wars #1 by Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) and John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men) arrives this week. The book will be set after the destruction of the first Death Star. Oscar Isaac is winning raves for his role in A Most Violent Year and he’s teasing what’s next as he plays one of the most vicious and relentless X-Men villains.

Isaac is playing En Sabah Nur but comics readers know him as Apocalypse.

The holy mutant trinity we met in First Class (James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique) along with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine will explore the origins of mutants on Earth and face “The First One” in X-Men: Apocalypse. Marvel is killing off Deadpool?

The Merc With a Mouth is enjoying an incredible ride: he got married in 2014, a solo movie is green lighted for 2016 and the hero is starring in multiple series.

But popularity didn’t stop the Death of Wolverine did it?

Marvel revealed Deadpool will die and Deadpool #250 will be the final issue as revealed exclusively on Nerdist.com.

EDWARD JAMES OLMOS Joins MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD

Marvel announced Edward James Olmos will join Agents of S.H.I.EL..D. this Spring. The actor will play Robert Gonzalez whose debut will have “massive repurcussions for Director Coulson and his team.”
