Ann Nocenti is making Selina Kyle smarter and even more manipulative. The Catwoman writer was part of DC Comics all-star team of creators at Emerald City Comicon on the 75th Anniversary of the Batman’s debut in Detective Comics.
Catwoman #30 is the start of Race of Thieves as Selina enters a global contest to become the best thief on the planet. There’s no honor among thieves and Selina is outgunned against more super powered criminals.

In the future mutant hunting robots attack. Kitty Pryde (Page) Colossus (Daniel Cudmore) and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) lead brand new mutants Blink, Warpath, Bishop and Sunspot defending their embattled base from a swarm of Sentinels. Fans of Bobby Drake have to be thrilled to see Iceman at his full omega level potential. Blink is a fan favorite mutant from the Generation X era who died too soon but is alive and shows off her incredible teleporting power. Sunspot (Adan Canto) and Bishop (Omar Sy) share their solar projection and energy absorption powers on the invading Sentinels.
The mix of real and mutant history continues in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
In X-Men: First Class the emergence of mutants in the 1960’s was tied to the Cuban Missile Crisis and Cold War between the U.S. and U.S.S.R.
On the The Bent Bullet (a viral marketing site for DOFP) it was implied that Magneto was behind the assassination of President F. Kennedy. It’s been reported that Magneto is on prison accused of killing JFK and Wolverine, Professor X and Quicksilver will stage a jail break.
Batman Eternal #1 arrived this week with a shocking look at the future of Bruce Wayne and Gotham City. Now fans will have to follow the weekly year-long series to see how Bruce ended up in the horrific scenario at the mercy of a ruthless villain who has seemingly taken Batman’s world apart bit by bit.
Scott Snyder and James Tynion revealed at Emerald City Comicon that they wrote the skeleton and ending of the story but a team of writers will weave multiple stories leading up to the big finale.
