Acclaimed Cartoonist at Seattle International Film Festival

The Seattle International Film Festival never leaves out the comic book geeks! Would you like to meet the artist hailed as the “Tim Burton of Europe?” This Sunday is a unique experience for lovers of surreal graphic storytelling with a local connection. Tito On Ice follows adventures of two Swedish comic book artists traveling in the former Yugoslavia…with the remains of Marshal Tito.

Cartoonist, film star and co-director Max Andersson will appear the North America Premiere of Tito On Ice on Sunday, May 26th at 8:00pm at the SIFF Cinema Uptown Cinema.  You can register for the event here.

Andersson’s comic book Bosnian Flat Dog, published by Seattle’s own Fantagraphics Books following Max Andersson and fellow artist Lars Sjunnesson on their surreal journey through the Balkans. Andersson will be signing copies of his comic book following the movie the cinema.
