The gang’s almost all here for X-Men: Days of Future Past! The cast of the original trilogy and X-Men: First Class will unite for the new film based on the classic Chris Claremont comic book story involving time travel.
There are a few characters/actors from the original that have not been revealed yet:
Nightcrawler? Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler aka Kurt Wagner from X2: X-Men United. In the comic books Kurt is the son of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Azazel (Jason Flemying.) At the end of First Class I thought sure that would be a storyline for the sequel but I’m not so sure that will happen. Azazel recently made a comic book comeback in the pages of Wolverine and the X-Men by Jason Aaron.
Colossus? Daniel Cudmore as Colossus aka Peter Rasputin. Kitty and Colossus are my favorite X-couple but in the movies (and now the comics) Kitty has warmed up to Iceman (Shawn Ashmore.) The future Wolverine, Storm and Colossus have a spectacular fight scene against Sentinels in the comic book story. We have to see the fastball special again!
Omar Cy as ? The French star recently joined the cast. My guess is that he will play En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse – the immortal mutant born in ancient Egypt has manipulated the mutant race and takes deadly measures against humanity to enforce his belief in survival of the fittest.
These are the 3 burning questions I have right now and here’s my wish list for the X-Men sequel.
