The X-Men 50th Anniversary event revealed: X-Men: Battle of the Atom introduces mutants from the future designed by Arthur Adams. Will Paul Cornell make Wolverine: Killable? A news packed Marvel X-Men panel at C2E2 in Chicago kicked off with more news about the dead X-Men and Avengers coming back in Uncanny Avengers.
X The Apocalypse Twins will use the death seeds to resurrect The Sentry, Daken, Banshee and Grim Reaper as the Horsemen of Death. Rick Remender teased a big Thor vs. Sentry battle, Wolverine vs. Daken, Rogue vs. Grim Reaper and Havok vs. Banshee.
X Red Skull (now with Xavier’s brain) will turn up in X-Men Legacy (now starring Legion, the Professor’s son.)
X Wolverine and the X-Men #29 will be set 50 years in the future. Ramon Perez is leaving the book as artist.
X Brian Wood teased there’s one more member of his all-female team that will be introduced in the final page of X-Men #1.
X X-Men: Battle of the Atom will be the X-Men 50th Anniversary event in which X-Men from the future (Molly Hayes, Kate Bishop, Deadpool, Lady Xorn, Thing, Ice Beast) will be coming from the future to the present to deal with something BIG comes out this September. The event will run through the core titles with bookend issues.
Here are the teams: X-MEN: BATTLE OF THE ATOM #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and artist Frank Cho then continues in UNCANNY X-MEN, ALL-NEW X-MEN, WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN and X-MEN into the next month. The crossover concludes with X-MEN: BATTLE OF THE ATOM #2 in October by Jason Aaron and “a mystery artist, thus ensuring that the X-Men’s world will never look the same again.”
X Savage Wolverine #7, 8 will be by new team Zeb Wells and Joe Madureira.
X Killable is the next Wolverine arc by Paul Cornell and Alan Davis. Arune Singh says the ending of Wolverine: Killable will be a major media level news story.
X Declan Shalvey will be the new Deadpool artist with issue #15, “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.”
X The End of X-Factor begins with issue 260 and 262 is the final issue in September. Peter David worked on this book for more than 10 years. The fan favorite does have a new Marvel project in the works.
