Having Wolverine as a father was hell thanks to the manipulations of Romulus who molded Daken into a hate-filled machine.
How will Logan’s son feel once he learns his father is dead?
Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy will focus on a pantheon of heroes but mostly villains with a connection to the X-Man.
Ray Fawkes (Constantine, Trinity of Sin: Pandora) was recruited to share Daken’s story following Logan’s death. Fawkes says Daken’s feelings over Logan’s death are “almost mind-shatteringly””
“After returning from death himself, finding out that his hated—and…loved?—father has died puts an incredible strain on Daken. He needs to find some kind of release from the collision of emotions—something that may surprise everyone,” Fawkes told Marvel.com.
“Daken will never be able to escape the ghost of Logan. Every decision he makes in this issue is informed by his father’s legacy.”
Daken was resurrected by the Apocalypse Twins in Uncanny Avengers.
Wolverine’s son will feel the impact of his death in Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #5 by Fawkes with artist Elia Bonetti later this month.
Will Daken finally make peace with his father in death? Could the son of Wolverine possibly try to change his ways? Daken once impersonated Wolverine but could he take up his father’s code-name and legacy as the next Wolverine?
