Hugh Jackman fights ninjas, his haunted past and the Silver Samurai in The Wolverine. The X-Man has his claws full with three gorgeous and dangerous women, too! IGN shared these new character posters of Logan, Mariko, Viper and Yukio plus the actor listed as Shingen, head of Clan Yashida.
The film is based on the classic Chris Claremont story of Wolverine falling in love with the daughter of a powerful Japanese crime lord. In the movie’s trailer, Lord Yashida is a man Logan saved in World War II and is now head of a biotech empire.
Viper was a terrorist in the comics but she’s a mutant scientist tied to the Yashida corporation.
Yukio gets the most poster attention. She’s the ronin who inspired Storm to unleash her wild side and get a mohawk in the comics.
The Wolverine opens July 26th.
