Storm, Psylocke, Monet and Rachel Grey investigate a mysterious event in The Burning World starting in X-Men #23.

A fan-favorite outcast X-Man guest stars in the upcoming arc by Ms. Marvel writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Roland Boschi (Winter Soldier: The Bitter March).

Gambit is known as a ladies man and that makes  him a perfect guest star for the story.

Willow explains why Remy was the perfect choice to appear in this new arc.

“He has a cameo at the beginning. This arc starts off at a Burning Man-style festival in the Black Rock Desert. I actually took to Twitter when I was planning out this story and asked people, “Who, out of all the X-Men, present or past, do you think is most likely to show up at Burning Man?”
The overwhelming consensus was Gambit. He’d be sort of the skeezy guy who goes around offering dubious massages, and stuff like that, so he does have a cameo at the beginning. It’s a lot of fun. I hope people are as excited about this as I am,” Wilson told Comic Book Resources.

Gambit was starring in the now-cancelled All-New X-Factor.

With a Gambit film starring Channing Tatum in the works – it’s likely Remy could permanently rejoin one of the X-books or get a new shot at a solo book.

Until then see Remy in The Burning World in X-Men #23 this January.
