Which Marvel characters would the writing duo behind the Captain America series want to see in a future Marvel movie?

Steve McFeeley and Christopher Markus continue their Marvel streak with Captain America: Civil War. The writing team previous worked on Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

If you thought the writers had a massive challenge with all the Avengers in Civil War, imagine all the characters they are working with on Avengers: The Infinity War, Part I and II?

With an entire universe to play with…who would they like to see in a future Marvel movie?

“Namor. He is kind of a jerk and a chip on his shoulder and he is a king and lives underwater. The degree of difficulty is high, though. Cause it would be a great movie or it could be truly terrible.” McFeeley told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I think it would be cool to make a Marvel Zombies movie but that would require a whole other wing or, at least, another dimension.” said Markus.

Namor the Sub-Mariner is the son a human and Atlantean princess who was born in age when Marvel was still Timely Comics. Namor had been a major villain, an ally of Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four but Reed’s rival for Susan’s affection, he’s been an Avenger and even an X-Man (he is a mutant after all.) As the King of Atlantis, Namor was a member of The Illuminati, a secret cable of Marvel’s most powerful rulers and minds who went on secret missions. Namor and Black Panther have been mortal enemies with their nations going to war. T’Challa and Namor’s war during Jonathan Hickman’s New Avengers run was Game on Thrones with superheroes could be the inspiration for a big screen Black Panther/Namor fight.

Marvel Zombies started out as a limited series by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman featuring an alternate Marvel Universe filled with infected, undead versions of heroes and villains and inspired multiple sequels.

Captain America: Civil War opens May 6th.
