Earth’s Mightiest Heroes evolve and re-assemble in the aftermath of Civil War II. As you can see one God is not enough as the Avengers go to war with a classic enemy.
Mark Waid stays on board as writer with Mike Del Mundo as artist when the flagship book returns in the post-war Marvel Now.
Rookies Ms. Marvel, Nova and young Spider-Man leave to become Champions. A new hero and a classic villain are wearing Iron Man armor.
Sam Wilson/Captain America, Jane Foster/Thor, Vision and the new Wasp recruit Hercules to reassemble against one of the team’s oldest enemies: Kang.
“Several iterations of Kang—including some we’ve never seen before. After that, nothing’s yet nailed down, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a specific non-traditionally Avengers villain show up….” Waid told Marvel.com.
Waid teased Victor Von Doom will join in the second issue.
Waid will also launch Avengers #1.1 with artist Barry Kitson set in the time when Steve Rogers, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver joined the team.
