As we build up until the final weeks of Avengers, New Avengers, the start of Secret Wars and the end of the Marvel Universe we’re watching for clues and signs.
Who caused the death of the Marvel Universe?
Jonathan Hickman’s epic Avengers run began with incursions from other Earths threatening to destroy ours. When heroes fail the Marvel Universe will be destroyed and only Battleworld remains as Secret Wars rage.
But what started the incursions?
We could have seen a big blatant clue in Guardians Team-Up #3 by Sam Humphries this week. This issue is a Chapter Six of the Black Vortex crossover between Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men but two words send my mind reeling.

Here it comes.
Beast has given in the temptation of power offered by the Black Vortex. The “cosmically enhanced” X-Man does something incredible and utters two words that have been haunting the Avengers books since Hickman’s arrival.
Beast breaks the fabric of space-time with this enhanced powers and says, “Everything Dies.”
Beast is a member of The Illuminati in New Avengers. The covert team of heroes have been fighting the inevitable and often utter those same two tragic words.
“Everything Dies” appears in every issue of New Avengers.
But Beast says something else worth noting, “how could I have brought them back…?”
Is Hank referring to his decision to bring the original X-Man (including his younger self) into the future in Uncanny and All-New X-Men by Bendis?
Later a Beast from the future came to the present to force the originals to go back in Battle of the Atom.
You can remember the Watcher was angry at Hank McCoy in All-New X-Men #25.
“Oh my stars and garters!”
Does it all come down to Hank McCoy? Did this X-Man of science play with time too many….times?
Beast may not be the only guilty party.
Remember when Wolverine’s action in Age of Ultron ripped the dimensions?
The evidence it adding up to the former Avenger and original X-Man being the cause of the end of the Marvel Universe!
