Marvel has declared July Superior Spider-Man Month! As if Otto Octavius’s ego wasn’t big enough now he has a month dedicated to him?!

A Superior Hero (at least Otto thinks he is) deserves a Superior rogues gallery! Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber assemble an all-new Sinister Six to take on the new web-slinging hero .

Here are the Superior Foes of Spider-Man: Boomerang, Shocker, Speed Demon, Overdrive and the Beetle.

“This is a book about the working class guys; these are not the Kingpins or Green Goblins or Doc Ocks of the world. These are the small-time crooks looking for a quick score so they can pay their alimony and get the loan shark off their back. A lot of the book is from Boomerang’s perspective, and he’s very much aware of that—and he sees this new Sinister Six he’s formed as one last big shot at real money and real power. He’s got a lot riding on this,” Spencer told Marvel.com.

Fans of Spencer’s Image book may enjoy his take on this alliance of crooks.

“Lots and lots of heists. That was a big part of the appeal for me here. I got to stretch those muscles a bit on [my creator-owned series] Thief of Thieves, and it was fun to translate some of that into the world of capes and tights.”

“It’s Boomerang’s gang, though obviously, these characters being who they are, that authority won’t go unquestioned,” Spencer says of the team’s structure,” One of the fun dynamics we have is we have three guys with a lot of history: Boomerang, Speed Demon, and Shocker have run in the same circles and been in the same crews for years now. But then they’ve brought in two fresh faces: Overdrive, and the new Beetle. And these two might view the whole scene pretty differently. They haven’t been beaten down quite as much, or they have new ideas on how to get things done. It makes for an interesting mix.”
