Will Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver appear in Avengers 2?

At the Iron Man 3 world premiere writer/director told Yahoo of the upcoming sequel:

“I try to think of this as its own movie. Sometimes, ya, I feel pressure, how do you not? And by the way, Shane [Black] not helping! Iron Man 3 not helping! Because I saw this and said, ‘Aw, man, he really got it right!’ The pressure continues! But you put that aside, when you’re in the story, when you’re dealing with these characters that you love, that everybody loves, when you got the new characters sliding in next to them, it’s very exciting. Then I don’t feel pressure. Then it’s like I’m reading my favorite comic.”

“I’ve done enough shows and movies to be comfortable with that. You do come to a point where we all agree. ‘Okay. Oh, I’ve got these two characters, two of my favorite characters from the comic book; a brother-sister act. They’re in the movie. That’s exciting.’ You know, you lock certain things in”

A brother-sister act from the comic books can only mean Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver! Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are the mutant children of Magneto who grew up to become members of his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in the early X-Men books but later reformed and joined the Avengers.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are members of The Ultimates – The Avengers of Marvel’s Ultimate line on which the last Avengers film was based upon.

Fox controls the rights to the X-Men (Wanda and Pietro are mutants) so could there be a conflict with Marvel/Disney? Here’s what Marvel Studios Kevin Feige said and my casting ideas for Magneto’s children.

Before X-Men: Days of Future Past was announced I had hoped teen versions of Wanda and Pietro would appear in the X-Men prequel/sequel.

If Disney and Fox wanted to make a mega Marvel movie with Avengers and X-Men (and even Fantastic Four) these are the characters to tie both franchises together.

Quicksilver married Crystal of the Inhumans. She’s Johnny Storm’s onetime girlfriend and Avenger.  Wanda is infamous for declaring “No More Mutants” in which she decimated the mutant race with her hex and chaos magic powers.

What do you think? Should Whedon add some mutant mix to the next Avengers movie with these two?
