Does Batman now know the identity of the Joker and every masked enemy?

After the first wave of Justice League: Darkseid War, DC’s biggest heroes were reborn as the New Gods. A series of one-shots will explore how each member of the League is dealing with their cosmic transformation.

Bruce Wayne is now the God of Knowledge sitting in the Mobius Chair.

If the Dark Knight is now all knowing, does he really know the real name of the Joker and every secret of the DC Universe?

The first Darkseid War spinoff is here and cue the burning questions!

Justice League: The Darkseid War – Batman by Peter J. Tomasi picks up on the Justice League epic by Geoff Johns.

This raises the question of when this takes place: before the status quo changing events of Batman: Endgame and Superman: Truth or in the near future?

SPOILER ALERT:

To continue the discussion we have to reveal plot points of Batman: Endgame, Superman: Truth and the current Darkseid War.

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo told their ultimate Batman/Joker story with Batman: Endgame. The epic left Bruce Wayne reborn without his memory paving the way for Jim Gordon to become a new Batman. Joker was presumed dead after his underground showdown but then again, so was Bruce.

In this week’s one-shot, it appears the newly all-knowing Batman told Alfred he’s going after the Joker. Is this a hint that Geoff Johns will craft his ultimate Batman/Joker story on a more cosmic level?

Johns de-powered Superman before handing the reigns over of Clark’s solo title over. Now Lex Luthor has the power of the Lord of Apokolips after Darkseid’s death.

As the second wave of Darkseid War begins Johns is crafting signature showdowns between DC’s greatest rivals? Where does it fit in current continuity and is this the future of the DC Universe?

After the six one-shots Darkseid War continues with Justice League #46.
