The new Wasp, return of Ultron and Hank Pym, a new Thunderbolts and the start of Civil War II!

Here are the big highlights coming from Marvel this May:

Civil War II #0 by Brian Michael Bendis and Olivier Coipel (House of M) introduces all the players in the huge battle led by Iron Man and Captain Marvel.

International Iron Man #3 and Invincible Iron Man #9 are Civil War II prologue issues by Bendis as Tony Stark is getting closer to learning the secret of his real parents and his friendship with Jim Rhodes is tested as new villains strike.

New Number Ones Issues:

Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 by Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz. Rogers is back to full power with a new shield, team, uniform and mission but a classic enemy: Hydra.

Thunderbolts #1 Winter Soldier leads a new version with classic original members by Jim Zub and Jon Milan.

Nighthawk #1 The Squadron Supreme member in a new solo book by David Walker and Ramon Villalobos.

The Punisher #1 by Becky Cloonan and Steve Dillon

Daredevil/Punisher #1  a limited series by Charles Soule timed to coincide with Frank Castle joining the cast of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix. Daredevil and Blindspot attempt to make sure a mobster has his day in court but The Punisher wants to put the accused away permanently. And in Daredevil #7 Elektra returns!

Deadpool: The Last Days of Magic #1 by Gerry Duggan & Posehn spinning out of the Doctor Strange arc.

Deadpool: Massacre #1 starring the Deadpool of Mexico.

All-New, All-Different Avengers #9 introduces the All-New Wasp by Mark Waid and Mahmud Asrar.

New Avengers #11 A.I.M. vs S.H.I.E.L.D. as Avengers Island falls.

Uncanny Avengers #9 Ultron and Hank Pym return! Is the original Avenger in control of his creation? Rogue and Gambit really met again.

Agents of SHIELD #5 is the Marvel Comics debut of Grant Ward, the villainous traitor from the television series.

Spider-Women crossover continues in Spider-Gwen, Silk, Spider-Woman and Spider-Women:Omega.

Apocalypse Wars continues in All-New, Extraordinary and Uncanny X-Men issues this month.
