This year’s Walk For Wishes 5K Walk and Fun Run has a superhero theme so ComicsBlend.com has decided to form a team to raise money and help make wishes come true for kids battling life-threatening medical conditions.
I was inspired in part by Electron Boy: Erik lived out a super hero dream thanks to the Seattle Sounders and Make-A-Wish donations. I had a personal connection to last year’s story of a 12-year-old boy named Cody who wanted to be a super spy. Seattle’s “super villain” Rex Velvet played the role of the bad guy in the caper co-starring the Seahawks mascot that made Cody’s dream came true. (I knew Rex before he was a villain!)
