The army is assembled.

Time to take the revolution to the next stage.

Cyclops is ready to take action to protect mutants.

But now his race is facing a big enemy with five letters.

S.H.I.E.L.D!

Brian Michael Bendis took over Uncanny X-Men and launched All-New X-Men with the Marvel Now and the mutant revolution team evolves as the All-New Marvel Now arrives in 2014.

“All of the groundwork has been laid out and now it’s time to blow the roof off the place,” Bendis tells Marvel.com. “All of the characters have been introduced, all of the relationships have been cemented, the new status quo is locked and loaded—now it’s time to deliver on the promise.”

The X-Men (during Battle of the Atom) learned S.H.I.E.L.D. has its own Sentinels.  Is Scott willing to risk a war with the world’s top cops?

“I think it’s a bigger risk for him at this point not to take on S.H.I.E.L.D.,”the writer explained, “Something’s wrong over there and their lives are in danger. He made a promise both publicly and privately to his people that he would fight for them and protect them. Something is going on [at S.H.I.E.L.D.] that is putting mutant lives in danger. One would have to imagine that it’s better to be alive than have goodwill.”

Cyclops already had Magneto, Emma Frost, Magik and his new recruits (Tempus, Triage, Goldballs, Morph, Hijack) and now Kitty Pryde and the All-New X-Men have signed up.

“Many people have asked in what form Cyclops’s revolution will take. This is it.”

The final part of the interview sounds ominous!

“This is their bar mitzvah. It is time to find out if these characters, including the all-new X-Men, have what it takes to fight the fight. I hope everybody makes it out of this teenager storyline alive. I hate when young mutants die for the cause.”

The Revolution Team  enters the All-New Marvel Now in Uncanny X-Men #19 by Bendis and artist Chris Bachalo.
