A comics week so big we had to expand and split up our top 5 picks of the week.

 

In part one we saluted four huge issues that were final issues, final chapters or final arcs by all-star creators.

 

Now on to more of our picks of the week:

 

Detective Comics Annual #3 See how the deadly new drug hits Bruce Wayne, Harvey Bullock, and a mother and daughter trying to bring hope to Gotham City. A big tie-in to Icarus, the harrowing current arc by Francis Manupul and  Brian Buccellato.

 

Low #1 In a brand new sci-fi series humanity lives in underwater cities to escape a sun scorched surface world. After thousands of years, a probe lands on Earth sending two teams to the surface. What will they find? How is the human race changed. The third new Image series from Rick Remender (Deadly Class, Black Science) who teams up this time with Greg Tochcchini from Uncanny X-Force.

 

Outcast #2 The new horror series from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and artist Paul Azaceta. A young man’s brutal history with demonic possession. What are Kyle’s nightmares, what is real and how do the revelations from the first issue mean about his mother’s possession?

 

Uncanny X-Men #24 This is it! She-Hulk calls for a meeting of all X-Men for the reading of The Last Will and Testament of Charles Xavier! What did Professor X leave behind?
