Chris Hemsworth strikes a pose as the God of Thunder in this new poster for Thor: The Dark World courtesy Marvel. The Odinson fights Malekith (played by former Doctor Who Christopher Eccleston) of the Dark Elves. This striking image looks like Thor summoning the lightning amid the world of the Frost Giants. In the sequel directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) we’ll visit new parts of the Nine Realms and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) reunites with Thor.

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
