Original Sin comes to a slam-gang, jaw-dropping, game-changing finale today but there’s more to the story.

Jason Aaron and Mike Deodato’s cosmic murder mystery started as the hunt for who killed The Watcher.

The search for answers led to the biggest revelation about a man who build his entire life on secrets.

Nick Fury was “the man on the wall” and after Original Sin #8 we know who will take his place but what about the man before Fury?

The Original Sin Annual by Jason Latour and Enis Cisic reveals the untold story of the man who sacrificed all to protect the Earth before Fury.

“We’ve seen a bit of how Nick Fury approached this role, and a lot of that is stuff he’s picked up very directly from McCord. The job is getting out there, rattling cages, getting in the heads of the people who want to harm Earth. Stopping trouble before it starts, by any means necessary. In the eyes of a lot of these more belligerent alien races, the Earth was ripe for the picking. It was a silent, shadow war and for quite a while McCord was the only soldier we had.” Latour told Marvel.com.

“So with this story we’ll delve into the reasons behind that solitude. Did protecting the Earth cost McCord his own humanity?”

Original Sin Annual is coming soon. As for the new “man on the wall”…..
