Marvel may have conjured up an actor to play Wong in Doctor Strange.
Benedict Wong (The Martian, Prometheus, Moon, Sunshine) has been cast according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wong (the character) is the Doctor’s trusted sidekick who watches over his physical body when he is in astral form, watches over his home, is a healer, martial arts master and assists in occult rituals. He is a co-creation of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Wong is descended from a long line of monks serving The Ancient One who sends him to assist Doctor Strange when he returns to the United States.
Wong joins the acclaimed cast including Benedict Cumberbatch as Strange, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Madds Mikkelsen and Rachel McAdams.
Doctor Strange arrives November 4, 2016.
