The CW unveiled a first look at Teddy Sears as original Flash Jay Garrick on a comic book inspired homage to a classic issue.
Sears in Garrick’s iconic helmet and Grant Gustin are speeding side by side with their comic cover counterparts.
This image is a tribute to The Flash #123, the 1961 issue by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson.
This is the pivotal Flash of Two Worlds issue by writer Gardner Fox which introduced Earth-2 to the DC Universe.
Garrick was co-created by Fox and Harry Lampert in 1940. Barry Allen replaced him as the main Flash in 1956 before making his return in the Flash of Two Worlds story. Garrick was a mentor to Wally West, The Flash of the 1990’s.
The New 52 Wally West will be on this second season, too.
After flashing to the future with Reverse Flash in Season One, it appears Barry could be speeding into another universe this season.
The Flash is back on October 6th.
