Cory Michael Smith plays Edward Nygma on the upcoming Fox series set after the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents. The theater breakout is breaking into comics culture history by helping share the back story of an infamous villain.

In Detective Comics Futures End the Dark Knight and master of manipulation are working together as allies?

September 2014 is the third anniversary of The New 52 reboot of the DC Universe. Every book this month is jumping five years into the future.
“Anniversary” by regular Detective Comics co-writer Brian Buccellato is set in the near future but ties into two recent arcs.
It’s the anniversary of The Zero Year Blackout (from Scott Snyder’s Batman: Zero Year New 52 origin of the Dark Knight) and Calendar Man is threatening Gotham City. The Zero Year finale is coming this month. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s  origin story the Dark Knight in The New 52 wraps up in Batman #33. The Riddler defeated the Dark Knight and turned Gotham City into a nightmare city under his control. After taking on the Joker in Death of the Family and the Ridder, Snyder was asked about what more he could unleash on Bruce and the battle-worn city he fights to protect.
