Young Avengers fans are thrilled by news that Cassie Lang will return to the Marvel Universe. Could this signal the return of more original Young Avengers?

Ant-Man writer Nick Spencer revealed Cassie will be a big part of the new series starring her dad.

Cassie became known as Stature in the Young Avengers after her father’s death in Avengers Disassembled epic. Cassie joined her teammates Wiccan and Speed in their search for answers about their mother Scarlet Witch in Avengers: The Children’s Crusade.

Gay in the All-New Marvel Now: Pride 2014 Update

As part of Pride Month 2014 (in which we celebrate gay visibility in part) where are the GLBT characters in the All-New Marvel Now

 

Young Avengers won a GLAAD Media Award earlier this year. The Astonishing X-Men issue featuring Northstar’s wedding was a big seller. Those are the most high-profile gay heroes of the Marvel heroes.

 

Northstar (Jean-Paul Baubier) married Kyle Jinadu 2 years ago. After Astonishing X-Men came to an end, Northstar returned to the Jean Grey School in Amazing X-Men to join the Quest for Nightcrawler.  We haven’t really seen Kyle so we must assume he’s running Jean-Paul’s businesses while Northstar helps Wolverine, Storm and Beast battle demons, monsters and anti-mutant hate groups. The new creative team and storyline took Logan back to Canada (Northstar’s home, too) so we might expect to see Jean-Paul stay in the action as the X-Men team up with Alpha Flight.

ORIGINAL SINS Begins

In the aftermath of Original Sin #3 the Marvel Universe is shaken to the core. (You can read our review (spoiler warning) here.) Now the original sins of heroes are out in the open. Heroes are shocked. Friendships and families will be shattered.

 

The Watcher saw all – so he knows every secret of the Marvel Universe. Those secrets are out including Thor learned has a sister, Captain America learned Dr. Strange mind wiped him – at Tony Stark’s orders. The revelations get even more shocking.

Marvel Reveals ORIGINAL SINS & DEATHLOK Books

Marvel revealed a new Original Sins series starring Deathlok, Young Avengers, Inhumans and more heroes will accompany the Original Sin big event series.

 

Original Sins is a 5-issue story featuring the fallout from secrets revealed in Jason Aaron’s Original Sin – which focuses on the search for who killed The Watcher.
